  • We spent a few nights at Camping le Château de Martragny to explore the Normandy American Cemetery, a destination high on our list. Situated approximately 28km away, we easily reached it in our motorhome (Roller Team), thanks to ample parking for such vehicles. Our travel style often involves planning routes that encompass multiple attractions in an area.

The campsite itself occupies the grounds of a picturesque chateau, boasting beautiful gardens and excellent amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even when we arrived late after our journey from the UK. Initially placed under some low trees, they promptly relocated us to a better spot without any fuss.

The facilities were impeccably clean, making a return visit highly appealing despite the slightly longer travel distance. Overall, the campsite's charm and hospitality made it a standout location for us.
